Course Overview:

The American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Course is designed for healthcare professionals and other personnel who need to know how to perform CPR and other basic cardiovascular life support skills in a variety of in-facility and prehospital settings.

Course Content:

  • High-Quality CPR for Adults, Children, and Infants: Learn the latest techniques and best practices for performing high-quality chest compressions, delivering effective ventilations, and using an AED.
  • Team Dynamics and Communication: Understand the importance of effective team dynamics and communication during resuscitation scenarios.
  • Airway Management: Master the skills to maintain a patient’s airway and ensure adequate ventilation.
  • Relief of Foreign-Body Airway Obstruction: Learn how to recognize and manage choking emergencies in adults, children, and infants.
  • CPR with an Advanced Airway: Learn how to perform CPR in situations where an advanced airway device is in place.
  • Critical Concepts of Early Recognition and Interventions: Emphasize the significance of early recognition and intervention in cardiac and respiratory emergencies.

                  Approximately 4 Hours

Requirements:

                  Students are required to have a current AHA BLS Provider manual (physical or electronic) during the course. The ebook is provided as part of the course fee. If you prefer a physical book, please let me know, and we can arrange o for an additional fee.
